This table displays recommended BG3 Ranger build choices for every level, including recommended spells, Class feature choices, and more to suit the gameplay of this build. There is a lot of variety in the choices that Rangers get to make while leveling, but these recommendations should work well for most combat situations, enemy types, and environments.

The Oath of Devotion Paladin is a powerhouse of buffs , healing support, and brutal damage output. The trade-off for such a well-rounded Class is that it is the only one restricted by roleplay. By choosing an Oath, Paladins must do everything to live by it – the Oath of Devotion means that players can't attack innocents, turn their back on those in dire need, or deceive their enemies to gain an advantage in combat.

Ward yourself or an ally against enemy attacks. Until the affected entity attacks or harms another creature, it cannot be targeted by enemy attacks. However, it can still take damage from spells that influence a large area.

Absolute Bane: When the wearer hits a creature with a weapon attack, it receives a 1d4 penalty to Attack Rolls and Saving Throws. The same penalty applies to anyone using these gloves without bearing the Absolute's brand.

Your weapon flares with white-hot intensity. It deals an extra 1d6 Fire damage and marks the target with Searing Smite. A target with Searing Smite takes 1d6 Fire damage every turn, www.Baldursgateguide.com until it succeeds on a Constitution Saving Throw. If the spellcaster misses the initial Attack, the spell slot and Bonus Action are not consumed.

Armour is an important component of Baldur's Gate 3. Specifically, you can outfit your character with headwear often referred to as Helmets that sometimes provide specific protections or abilities alongside boosting stats. Effects range from defensive measures such as protecting the wearer from Critical Hits to offensive postures like gaining a Bonus Action. Whatever the case may be, there are plenty of helmet items to consider in your character build.

In Baldur's Gate 3 , Paladins have three subclasses, or Oaths, to choose from at character creation: Oath of the Ancients, Oath of Devotion, and Oath of Vengeance . The Oath of Devotion is the best one to start with as it grants many useful combat-oriented, always-prepared spells. Just remember to keep to your Oath, and you won't turn into an Oathbreaker – the fourth, hidden subclass for Paladins.

The Beast Master Ranger is a hybrid ranged support and melee bruiser, capable of dishing out tons of damage and controlling enemy attacks with the Summon Companion ability. Beast Master Ranger is the best Ranger build in Baldur's Gate 3 right now because it gives players a full-strength extra companion in the party – a Bear, for the purposes of this build.

This is one of the best Paladin BG3 builds because of their strong healing spells and variety of weapon and armor proficiencies, making them more versatile than pure Caster support classes . But when the Oath of Devotion Paladin goes down, the rest of the party can be thrown into disarray.

Your attack summons thorny vines, dealing Weapon Damage and possibly Ensnaring your target. Ensnared creatures cannot move and take 1d6 Piercing damage at the start of each turn. An ally can use its help action to try and tear away the vines.

From the moment players unlock their Battle Master Animal Companion , all five options are available, and no additional companion choices unlock at later levels. There is the Wolf, Bear, Dire Raven, Boar, and Wolf Spider – and of the five, the Wolf Spider provides the most utility and damage output.
